For the second time in three presidential elections, Saturday Night Live has tapped a wildly famous comedian as a dead ringer for a prominent politician in the race. In 2008, the show brought on Tina Fey as John McCain's running mate, Sarah Palin. In the 2016 race, SNL snagged someone just as perfect for Democratic presidential hopeful Bernie Sanders — Larry David.

The Seinfeld creator stopped by 30 Rock on Saturday to take part in the show's cold open, a goofy take on Tuesday night's Democratic presidential debate. David immediately stole the sketch, bringing his trademark neuroticism to Sanders' hard left declarations.

Early on, Anderson Cooper (SNL noob Jon Rudnitsky) asked Sanders how he feels about the big banks.
