If you're anything like YouTube's millions upon millions of other loyal viewers, you probably find the ads that get between you and the videos you want to watch at least a little annoying. Well, good news: YouTube is finally offering the option to opt out. At an event Wednesday, YouTube executives introduced a new subscription service, called YouTube Red, which will allow viewers to watch videos without ads. There's just one catch: You have to pay $10 a month.

"People are embracing paid subscriptions for ad-free content at an incredible pace," said Robert Kyncl, the chief business officer at YouTube, told The New York Times. As additional perks, the subscription service will also will also offer original programming launching next year, the option to download videos to watch offline, and the capability to watch videos while other applications are in use.
