Bernie Sanders' supporters are much more engaged than Hillary Clinton's

Bernie Sanders might not have as many supporters as Hillary Clinton in the Democratic presidential primary, but the supporters that he does have are "especially engaged," The New York Times reports. A New York Times/CBS News poll out Thursday reveals that 54 percent of Sanders backers say they are paying close attention to the race, compared to only 38 percent of Clinton supporters.
While the poll had that piece of good news for Sanders, it also found that Clinton has the support of 52 percent of Democratic primary voters, compared to Sanders' 33 percent. Even as Sanders has ramped up his attacks on Clinton and sought to further differentiate himself from the Democratic frontrunner, his results in the polls have remained more or less stagnant since October, when Clinton led Sanders 56 percent to 32 percent.
Furthermore, while Sanders supporters might be more engaged, they aren't necessarily as firm in their support as Clinton supporters are. A whopping 58 percent of Sanders backers said that they "had not made a final decision" on whom they would vote for, The New York Times reports. Fifty-four percent of Clinton supporters, meanwhile, said they were totally decided.
