Lakeisha Holloway, 24, accused of plowing car into pedestrians on Las Vegas Strip
On Monday afternoon, police identified 24-year-old Lakeisha Holloway as the driver accused of deliberately plowing her car into pedestrians on the Las Vegas Strip Sunday, killing one and injuring 36. Holloway, who had her 3-year-old child in the car with her, was taken into custody Monday and is expected to be charged, Reuters reports. She faces one count of murder.
Holloway is being tested for drug and alcohol use. Police say her motive remains unknown, though they've ruled out terrorism. Reuters reports that Holloway may have driven over the curb "as many as three times" before she fled the scene and turned herself in to security at the nearby Tuscany Suites & Casino.
