Woody Allen's mysterious Amazon TV series just scored a big-name lead actor: Woody Allen. According to Deadline, the writer-director will also star in the as-yet untitled project, leading a cast that includes Elaine May and Miley Cyrus.
Though Allen starred in many of his earlier films, he's recently spent much more time behind the camera than in front of it; over the past 10 years, he's appeared in just two of his 10 features (2012's To Rome with Love and 2006's Scoop). Elaine May hasn't acted on camera in 16 years, last appearing in Allen's Small Time Crooks. And Miley Cyrus is best known today as a pop star, though she has four seasons of Hannah Montana under her belt.
Allen's project, which will reportedly span six 30-minute episodes, has no set premiere date.
