Screen Actors Guild Awards highlight Hollywood's diversity
While the Oscars have come under fire for all-white acting nominations, the Screen Actors Guild Awards on Saturday night showcased Hollywood's diversity.
"Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to diverse TV," said actor Idris Elba, who presented an award and won two himself.
Other performers of color who took home awards included Queen Latifah, Viola Davis, and Uzo Aduba. The hashtag #SAGsSoBlack trended Saturday in response to #OscarsSoWhite.
