Mike Huckabee drops out of presidential race
 
 
After getting about 2 percent of the vote in the Iowa caucuses, a state he won in 2008, former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee (R) announced via Twitter that he is "officially suspending his campaign," the standard language for dropping out of the race:
Huckabee, a social conservative, never saw his campaign catch fire this campaign season. In the latest RealClearPolitics average of polls, Huckabee had the support of 2.2 percent of the Republican electorate.
