In Thursday's Democratic debate, NBC's Chuck Todd noted that The Des Moines Register called for an audit of Monday's Democratic caucus in Iowa, calling it a mess and so close that it merits a recount. Sanders backed an audit, but said "it's not the biggest deal in the world." The coin tosses were a "chaotic" part of the process, he added, but "this is not a winner-take-all thing" and "no matter how it's counted, it will break fairly even." Sanders said he loves and respects the Iowa caucus process, and "I think people are blowing this up out of proportion."

Todd asked Clinton, who won the state by the narrowest of margins, if she would support an audit of the caucus results. "Whatever they decide to do is fine," she said.
