Sen. Claire McCaskill diagnosed with breast cancer

Sen. Claire McCaskill (D-Mo.) has been diagnosed with breast cancer.

"It's a little scary, but my prognosis is good and I expect a full recovery," she wrote in a Tumblr post Monday.

McCaskill said while she's in St. Louis for three weeks receiving treatment, she plans to update constituents on how she would have voted on issues as well as submit questions for any Senate hearings she misses.
