Hillary Clinton leads Donald Trump by 9 points in hypothetical matchup

Donald Trump thinks he could easily beat Hillary Clinton in November. A new Washington Post/ABC News poll out Wednesday says otherwise. Indeed, in a hypothetical matchup, Clinton defeats Trump 50 percent to 41 percent.
Clinton's winning margin just keeps growing, too. Last September, Clinton led Trump by three points in a hypothetical matchup. That lead grew to six points in December and now sits at nine points. While Clinton and Trump both struggle on the question of honesty and trustworthy, Clinton surpasses Trump in every candidate attribute category, and on the issues of the economy, terrorism, immigration, and handling international crises.
The poll, conducted March 3-6 among 1,000 adults, has a margin of error of plus or minus 3.5 percentage points.
