Behold, a truly American moment: This morning at the U.S. National Arboretum in the nation's capital, a bald eagle, America's national bird, began to hatch. A live eagle-cam captured the fuzzy eaglet as it started to emerge from its egg Friday morning around 8 a.m.

This marks the second bald eagle born to the eagles dubbed Mr. President and The First Lady in Washington, D.C.'s arboretum. The eagles are the first to set up a nest in the location since 1947.
