New poll shows Ted Cruz way ahead in Utah

Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) is sitting pretty in Utah ahead of the state's Tuesday caucuses, according to a Y2 Analytics poll out Saturday.

The senator snagged support from 53 percent of the likely Republican caucus-goers surveyed. Gov. John Kasich (R-Ohio) came in second with 29 percent, while national frontrunner Donald Trump notched just 11 percent.

If Cruz takes at least 50 percent of the vote, Politico reports he'll earn all 40 of Utah's delegates. Former Republican presidential candidate and Utah resident Mitt Romney said Friday he plans to support Cruz.
