Twitter turned 10 years old Monday. There have been a whole lot of 140-character messages exchanged, some considerably more popular than others.
The members of One Direction, perhaps unsurprisingly, have tweeted quite popular missives in their day, according to Time's list of the top 10 most popular tweets of all time. But they don't take the crown: That belongs to Ellen DeGeneres and her 2014 Oscars selfie, which amassed more than 3 million retweets:
