The idea is great: a mini camper built for a dog. Designer Judson Beaumont makes seven different gorgeous models in all, and each of his Straight Line Designs Pet Trailers ($1,000) comes with a LED light and stainless steel food and water cups. Custom color combinations are available, too. But there are limits to the trailers' usefulness, said Anna Callaghan at Outside: They accommodate only dogs under 20 pounds, their wheels don't roll, and they can't be left in the rain. So they're yard art for sunny days, and another thing to store in the garage when the gray clouds roll in.
