Next up on Vice President Joe Biden's tour talking about his "moonshot" effort to cure cancer: the Vatican. The vice president's office announced Wednesday that he'll be giving an address at a conference on the progress of regenerative medicine in Vatican City on April 29. The conference, which is being hosted by the Stem for Life Foundation and the Vatican's Pontifical Council for Culture, will draw the world's leading physicians, ethicists, and philanthropists.
Though Pope Francis has spoken out in support of the initiative, Biden's office says it has yet to be determined whether the nation's first Catholic vice president will sit down for a meeting with the pontiff.
