Minnesota's professional sports teams share their love for Prince

Target Field is purple in honor of Prince.

The Minnesota Twins are on the road, but back home, Target Field is lit purple for Prince.

The team tweeted a photo of the stadium with an image of the late artist and the words "Good night sweet Prince" on the Jumbotron, captioned, "Fitting that it's raining in Minneapolis today." A Twins representative told TMZ the team is contemplating paying tribute to Prince during their next home game. "I'm sure [it] will include a lot of Prince music," the rep said. "I don't know if it'll happen, but we're talking about instead of a moment of silence, having a moment of sexy."

Every professional sports teams in Minnesota honored Prince on their social media accounts, tweeting their tributes and giving their avatars a purple tint. Catherine Garcia
