Ted Cruz would consider rebooting his campaign if he wins Nebraska
Just a week after Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) dropped out of the GOP primary race, he's already considering jumping back in. Cruz says that while he doubts it's going to happen, if he were to win Nebraska's GOP primary Tuesday, he'd definitely think about reversing course. "We launched this campaign intending to win. The reason we suspended our campaign was that with the Indiana loss, I felt there was no path to victory," Cruz said on Glenn Beck's radio show Tuesday. "If that changes, we will certainly respond accordingly."
With that possibility in mind, Cruz declined to endorse Donald Trump, the party's presumptive nominee and the last remaining Republican candidate. "From my perspective, this fight was about a lot more than one campaign or one candidate," Cruz said. "This fight will continue because the country's worth it."
