Fans still reeling from the series finale of The Good Wife, here's some good news: CBS is in final negotiations for a spinoff focusing on Christine Baranski's character, Diane Lockhart.
Sources tell Variety that since the show isn't finalized yet it could still fall through, but if it's given the go ahead, the show would air on CBS All Access, the streaming service that costs $6 a month. Cush Jumbo, the actress who joined The Good Wife's cast in the seventh and final season, is also expected to star in the show, and series co-creators and executive producers Robert and Michelle King would likely co-write the episodes.
The sources also said the spinoff has probably been in the works for awhile, since Baranski was the first choice for several pilots, but turned them all down.
