Hillary Clinton has been hesitant to play up the symbolism of a woman winning the presidential nomination of a major American political party, but that changed on Tuesday night, after she easily won the New Jersey Democratic primary:
Clinton added "History made" to her Twitter handle, and her campaign released this video:
The Clinton campaign has obviously been planning for this moment, and The Associated Press sort of stepped on it Monday night, declaring her the presumptive nominee a day before Clinton was ready to accept this mantle. She accepted it on Tuesday night.
