You can (virtually) hike Yosemite with President Obama
Come August, the White House will release its first virtual reality video, a 360 video experience of the First Family's hike in Yosemite.
Produced by National Geographic, Facebook, Oculus, and Félix & Paul Studios, the immersive video will feature footage of the trip, plus a conversation between President Obama and Yosemite National Park Superintendent Don Neubacher. Given the involvement of the Oculus team, the virtual reality experience will likely be made for the Oculus Rift platform.
As a preview, National Geographic released an interactive panoramic photo on its Facebook page. View it here, then use your pointer to drag the image in all directions to see the full panorama, including majestic mountains and also a dog in a stroller.
