Brent Scowcroft, the former national security adviser to Republican Presidents Gerald Ford and George H.W. Bush, announced his official endorsement for Hillary Clinton on Wednesday. "She appreciates that it is essential to maintain our strong military advantage, but that force must only be used as a last resort," Scowcroft said in a statement. "I believe Hillary Clinton has the wisdom and experience to lead our country at this critical time."
Scowcroft is the second staffer from a Republican presidential administration to endorse Clinton. Last week, Richard Armitage, deputy secretary of state under George W. Bush, said he'd be voting for Clinton over Donald Trump.
