Gunman at German movie theater reportedly dead

A gunman who allegedly opened fire in a German cinema has been shot and killed by police, The Independent reports. A man wearing a mask and carrying a gun and an ammunition belt entered a movie theater on Thursday in the southwestern town of Viernheim, near Frankfurt, and opened fire, German media reports. Between 20 to 50 people may be hurt, though some of those injuries may be due to police use of tear gas.
