In perhaps the best thing to come out of the whole Pokémon Go phenomenon, an Indiana animal shelter is asking players to stop by and pick up a dog to accompany them on their adventure.
The Muncie Animal Shelter posted on its Facebook page Tuesday that anyone "trying to hatch an egg or catch rare Pokémon" is invited to come down and walk an adoptable dog while getting their steps in. Pokémon Go is an "augmented reality" game that combines virtual characters with maps, meaning people have to actually get up and move around to play. The shelter figured there's no reason why their dogs couldn't go along for the ride, and their brilliant idea obviously resonated with the public — their Facebook post has been shared more than 10,500 times.
