At least 8 reported dead in Munich in suspected terror attack
A mass shooting at the Munich shopping center Olympia Einkaufszentrum has resulted in "multiple deaths" and injuries, German media reports, along with alleged incidents at two other locations. A police briefing said at least eight people are dead and witnesses reported seeing three separate gunmen, whose whereabouts are unknown; authorities have told people in the area to stay in their homes.
"I heard several shots," said Lynn Stein, an employee who works in Olympia Einkaufszentrum. "People started running...I think I heard more shots. Then it sounded like he went to the parking house next to the mall — several shots there." The attack comes just days after a stabbing on a train Bavaria, which left five people injured; the Islamic State claimed responsibility for that attack.
