Bill O'Reilly reassures nervous Donald Trump supporters that Trump can still win

Fox News host Bill O'Reilly was on vacation last week, widely considered a bad stretch for Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump. On Monday night's Talking Points memo segment, O'Reilly took a look at "where the Trump campaign is now," and he conceded that it isn't in a very good spot. But "neither candidate has momentum," he said, and "polling in August doesn't really mean very much." O'Reilly found it "very ironic" that Trump's "shoot-from-the-hip, search-and-destroy speechmaking" earned him the Republican nomination, but is now being used against him by the "hostile," liberal press — the Washington Post editorial board, for example, is using Saul Alinsky's Rules for Radicals, specifically Rule No. 13, to sink Trump's campaign, O'Reilly argued.
O'Reilly saw all this coming a year ago, he said, showing video evidence. "Now, Talking Points is dedicated to covering the Trump-Clinton race in a fair way," he said, urging people to discuss the facts and not sling mud. "Despite all the controversy, Donald Trump could still win the presidency," O'Reilly concluded. If Trump becomes more disciplined, starts spending money in swing states, and learns to "present himself in a less personal way," his message and America's "faltering economy" give Trump a chance to win.
