Trump, Clinton appeal to Ohio voters on Labor Day

Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump are set to enter the post-Labor Day stretch of the election season by courting Ohio voters on Monday. Trump will begin the holiday by speaking with union members in Cleveland, and is expected to later campaign at a fair in Youngstown; no Republican has won the White House without taking Ohio, and Trump has notably struggled in the polls in a number of battleground states.
Clinton, whose post-convention lead on Trump has been cut in half according to a new CNN poll, will attend a Labor Day festival in Cleveland and is expected to later visit labor leaders in Hampton, Illinois. Having faced criticism over her lack of accessibility, Clinton will also begin allowing the press on her campaign plane Monday.
The RealClearPolitics average shows Clinton with a lead on Trump, at 43.8 percent to 40 percent, in Ohio.
