One of Hillary Clinton's big challenges in recent polls is that a sizable number of the younger voters who favored her primary opponent Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) say they'll vote for Libertarian candidate Gary Johnson or Green Party nominee Jill Stein. On Thursday's Late Night, Seth Meyers asked Sanders how he would try to convince those voters to back Clinton. "Seth, this is what I would say," Sanders said. "Look, what media does is focus on Trump's personality and Clinton's personality and my personality. What is personality, alright? We've got to get beyond personality. You don't like Clinton? Fine. Take a hard look at the issues that impact your life."

"What Hillary Clinton is saying, she's going to make public colleges and universities tuition-free for all families earning $125,000 or less and deal significantly with student debt. You know what? That is a very big deal in this country," Sanders said. "She is going to address climate change. She is gonna raise taxes on the rich. So what I would ask those people who voted for me, even if you have concerns about Clinton — you don't like this aspect, I understand that — but look at the hard issues that impact your lives and your neighbors' lives, and then think whether or not you want Donald Trump to become president. And I think if you frame it in that way, people will end up voting for Clinton."
