Bernie Sanders says 'of course' he's bothered by Hillary Clinton's comments — but vote for her anyway

"Of course" he is bothered by Hillary Clinton's characterization of his supporters as uninformed basement dwellers, Bernie Sanders said in an interview with CNN's Jake Tapper Sunday. Sanders was referring to leaked audio of comments Clinton made in February which surfaced this week and heard the Democratic nominee describing Sanders' fans as uninformed and idealistic "children of the Great Recession" who are "living in their parents' basement."

Still, Sanders continued, "we [were] in the middle of a campaign ... If you go to some of the statements I made about Hillary Clinton, we have real differences." He went on to encourage his supporters to vote for Clinton despite her remarks, arguing that she is "far and away the superior candidate" when compared to rival Donald Trump "issue by issue."
