Tim Kaine came to the vice presidential debate on Tuesday armed with some zingers that likely would be a major hit at the Dorky Dad Convention.
First, he called his Republican opponent, Mike Pence, Donald Trump's "apprentice." (Get it? That's the name of the show Trump used to be on?) Later, when talking about the national debt, Kaine quipped, "On the economy, there's a fundamental choice for the American electorate: Do you want a 'You're hired' president in Hillary Clinton, or do you want a 'You're fired' president in Donald Trump?" (Get it? Trump used to say that on The Apprentice? Remember from earlier?) This elicited a head shake from Pence, and groans from America. Catherine Garcia
