Alec Baldwin is playing Donald Trump on this season of Saturday Night Live. His Republican brother, Stephen, is acting as one of Trump's many media surrogates. Suffice it to say, Baldwin family relations seem to have become a little tense.
Speaking with media in the debate spin room Wednesday night, Stephen said his brother has "got the voice down very well," but that Alec's impression is "getting a little too nasty right now." Turning serious, he added, "I don't want to be party pooper here, but I don't think it's very funny. I don't think there's anything funny about this election." Stephen urged young and undecided voters to "really start to do their homework" to determine which candidate would do more to improve the economy.
Trump himself has similarly complained about Alec's impression, tweeting after a recent sketch that it is a "boring and unfunny" hit job that is further evidence of the media rigging the election for Hillary Clinton.
