The Cleveland Indians scored their third victory over the Chicago Cubs in Game 4 of the 2016 World Series Saturday night, giving them a 3-1 lead. If the Indians win any one of the final three games, they will take the series title.
This is the 47th time the World Series tally has stood at 3-1; on 40 of the previous occasions the leading team won the series. However, the Cubs had 18 winning streaks of at least three games each this season.
The Indians are seeking their first World Series championship since 1948, and the Cubs their first since 1908. Game 5 is Sunday evening at Wrigley Field in Chicago.
