Locked out of White House, Ellen DeGeneres mopes on a park bench
Ellen DeGeneres was stuck out on a park bench after being denied entry to the White House for forgetting her ID. DeGeneres, who is to be awarded the Presidential Medal of Freedom at a ceremony later today, emphasized the absurdity of the situation by adding the hashtag #NotJoking to a picture of her presumably waiting patiently for someone to bring her the proper documentation to enter the president's residence:
Other Presidential Medal of Freedom honorees, including Bill and Melinda Gates, Michael Jordan, Tom Hanks, and Robert Redford, did not appear to have any problem getting it.
Thankfully, DeGeneres finally managed to make it inside. Jeva Lange
