Emmy-nominated actor Ron Glass died Friday night of respiratory failure, his agent, Jeffrey Leavett, told CNN Saturday evening. He was 71 years old.
Best known for his role as Det. Ron Harris in Barney Miller, a police sitcom that ran from 1975 to 1982, and his role in the single-season cult hit Firefly, Glass more recently appeared in shows including Friends, CSI, and Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.
