LCD Soundsystem played its goodbye show in 2011, but this year the band has made a re-emergence with a handful of shows, the release of two new songs, and a performance on Saturday Night Live. On Monday, LCD Soundsystem frontman James Murphy announced the band is about to come out with its first new album in seven years and embark on a world tour.
The new album, American Dream, is due out Sept. 1. It will feature both of the singles the band unveiled this spring, "Call the Police" and "American Dream." This marks the band's fourth album and its first since 2010's This is Happening.
LCD Soundsystem's extensive tour will begin in the U.K. and Europe and end in December with 10 nights of shows at New York's Brooklyn Steel concern venue. Check out the full schedule of tour dates here.
