Spain's Rafael Nadal lost to Luxembourg's Gilles Muller in a nearly five-hour match at Wimbledon on Monday. Muller claimed victory in five sets, 6-3, 6-4, 3-6, 4-6, 15-13. The match ran so long that at one point, fans donated their scarves to cover a reflective panel that was blinding Nadal during his serves due to the angle of the setting sun.
Muller has only beat Nadal once before, in the second round of Wimbledon in 2005. Nadal won his 10th French Open last month. If he had reached the Wimbledon finals, he would've outranked Briton Andy Murray as the top player in the world.
