Secret Service interviews person who claimed credit for Treasury Secretary Mnuchin's gift-wrapped manure

On Monday, the Secret Service said it has interviewed a person who claimed responsibility for sending Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin a gift-wrapped Christmas present of horse manure on behalf of "the American people." The Los Angeles Police Department's bomb squad originally responded to the package, left for Mnuchin at the home of the Treasury secretary's neighbor in L.A.'s tony Bel Air neighborhood.
Secret Service spokesman Cody Starken said Monday the LAPD had contacted the agency about the unidentified person who claimed responsibility, adding that it takes all threats seriously. The package of horse apples was reportedly a response to the Republican tax bill that President Trump signed into law on Friday.
