Authorities in Siberia say at least 37 people died in a fire that swept through a mall in the city of Kemerovo on Sunday, Russian news agencies are reporting.

More than 100 people were evacuated from the mall, which houses shops, restaurants, and movie theaters. Video showed people jumping out of windows to safety, and black smoke billowing from the building. Authorities said they do not yet know what caused the fire to break out. Kemerovo is 2,200 miles east of Moscow.
