Former President George H.W. Bush was admitted to a hospital in Maine on Sunday, NPR reported. Spokesman Jim McGrath said he was hospitalized at Southern Maine Health Care in Biddeford, Maine, for low blood pressure and fatigue. He was "awake and alert, and not in any discomfort" at the time.
The former president arrived in Maine on May 20, to spend the summer there, CNN reported. He attended a breakfast at an American Legion post in the town of Kennebunkport, Maine, on Saturday. He was also expected to attend a Memorial Day parade in the town on Monday.
Bush is expected to remain in the hospital for a few days "for observation." Read more at NPR.
