After spending close to a week in a Maine hospital, former President George H.W. Bush was discharged on Monday.

His spokesman, Jim McGrath, tweeted that Bush, 93, was admitted because of low blood pressure and fatigue. "The president is deeply appreciative for the terrific care and the many good wishes he has received," he added. In April, Bush was hospitalized in Houston with an infection, one day after the funeral of his wife, former first lady Barbara Bush.
