Republican Rep. Mia Love says there are 'no real relationships, just convenient transactions' in Trump's world

President Trump mocked Rep. Mia Love (R-Utah) for losing her seat weeks before her race had actually been called. But now that her defeat is official, Love is striking back against the president.
Love's concession speech came six days after The Associated Press called the race for Democrat Ben McAdams, and nearly four weeks after Trump made fun of her in a post-midterms press conference, suggesting she lost because she wasn't a close enough ally of his. "Mia Love gave me no love, and she lost," Trump said. On Monday, Love said that these comments forced her to question why Trump would attack a fellow Republican in this way. "It was not really about asking him to do more, was it? Or was it something else? Well Mr. President, we'll have to chat about that," she said, reports CNN.
Love went on to say that Trump's attack gave her a "clear vision" of his worldview, in which there are "no real relationships, just convenient transactions." In fact, the incident helped "spotlight" Washington's problem with minority voters, she argued, as the relationship "is transactional, it's not personal." Love was the only black Republican woman in Congress.
