Joe Scarborough says Trump is on track to be the worst president ever
MSNBC's Joe Scarborough is here to throw some belated coal into President Trump's stocking.
In a lengthy monologue at the top of the post-Christmas episode of Morning Joe, Scarborough went off on a tirade against Trump, offering an overview of some of the past week's events including the government shutdown, the U.S.'s withdrawal from Syria, and the death of an 8-year-old boy in U.S. custody. This led him to the conclusion that "objectively, Donald Trump is on track to be the worst president in modern times, and perhaps ever, pushing even James Buchanan off that dubious perch," per Mediaite.
Scarborough, who noted that he is a former Republican himself, did not stop there, saying that the past week could be Trump's worst yet and that this is "the most challenging moment we have faced since this man first took office almost two years ago," concluding on the ominous note that the "days of hoping" that Trump can "somehow do better" are long gone.
