Christina Aguilera is the latest pop star to get a Las Vegas residency

Christina Aguilera is joining Lady Gaga, Cher, Gwen Stefani, and the Backstreet Boys in Las Vegas.
On Tuesday, Aguilera announced she will have a residency at the Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino's Zappos Theater, starting in May. The show, Christina Aguilera: The Xperience, will run through October, with 16 shows. Tickets go on sale Saturday.
During an interview with Ellen DeGeneres, Aguilera said she's been in talks to have a residency "for quite a few years now." She later released a statement saying The Xperience will be "my most ambitious show yet," with "mind-blowing" songs, visuals, and dance routines. "For years, I have been collecting ideas and concepts that have yet to be implemented on my stages, and Las Vegas is the perfect opportunity for me to collectively showcase my artistry," she added.
