Luke Perry has died at age 52, TMZ and Variety reported on Monday.

The actor was hospitalized last week after suffering a stroke, and he died Monday morning at Burbank's St. Joseph's Hospital. Perry's representative told TMZ he was surrounded by loved ones.

Perry rose to fame in the 1990s for his role as Dylan McKay on Beverly Hills, 90210, which ran for 10 seasons on Fox. The network recently ordered a revival of the original series, but Perry was not expected to return as part of the main cast due to his role on Riverdale, The CW series where he plays Archie's father. TMZ reports, however, that he was open to appearing as a guest star in the 90210 reboot.
