Trump says Roy Moore 'cannot win' Alabama Senate race
President Trump is warning Roy Moore he should not enter the 2020 Alabama Senate race.
Trump on Wednesday morning tweeted that he has "nothing against" Moore, who unsuccessfully ran for Senate in 2017 and has suggested he might run again in 2020. But Trump said that Moore "cannot win" the 2020 race and that the "consequences will be devastating" if he runs and loses.
Moore during his 2017 Senate race faced allegations of sexual misconduct from multiple women, several of whom were teenagers at the time. Moore denied the assault allegations and said that he did not "generally" date teenagers when he was in his 30s.

Trump's tweet comes after his son, Donald Trump Jr., also told Moore not to run for Senate in 2020, saying that he is "literally the only candidate who could lose a GOP seat" in Alabama and that it's "time to ride off into the sunset, Judge."
