At least one person was killed and six injured on Sunday when a crane fell on top of an apartment building and parking garage in Dallas, authorities said.
Five of the wounded are in serious and critical condition, a spokesperson for the Dallas Fire-Rescue Department told NBC News. Officials said while there were high winds when the crane collapsed, they do not yet know if that's what caused the accident.
The crane, which was being used at a construction site next door, crashed through four floors of the apartment building. Photos of the parking garage show cars on top of each other, and several vehicles perilously close to falling over the edge of the collapsed floors.
