Trump recommends Andrew McCarthy's book — right after the conservative says he might vote Democratic in 2020

President Trump didn't do much vetting before recommending this author.

On Thursday, Trump tweeted praise for conservative author Andrew McCarthy's new book Ball of Collusion, likely because Fox & Friends co-hosts were discussing it on that morning's show. But Trump didn't seem to realize that less than 12 hours earlier, McCarthy suggested in a tweet that Trump's recent handling of relations with China might make him vote for a Democrat for the first time since 1992.
