Even President Trump's nicknames are better than this.
The House is still marching on with its impeachment inquiry into Trump, but Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-Fla.) isn't happy with where Intelligence Committee Chair Adam Schiff (D-Calif.) is taking it. In fact, Gaetz declared, somehow unflinchingly, on Tuesday that House Republicans see impeachment as "a kangaroo court, and Chairman Schiff is acting like a malicious Captain Kangaroo."
In this one fell swoop, Gaetz both revealed he's not exactly sure what "kangaroo court" means, and that he hasn't done much research into the longest running national children's TV show of all time. A kangaroo court refers to a court that doesn't adhere to legal standards or have a governmental backing. Captain Kangaroo was the red-suited, awkwardly haircutted host of the kid's TV show that ran from 1955 to 1984.
