Washington Nationals win World Series

The Washington Nationals won the 2019 World Series, defeating the Houston Astros 6-2 on Wednesday night and earning their first title in franchise history.
The series went for seven games, after the Nationals tied things up 3-3 on Tuesday. Houston had a 2-0 lead going into the seventh inning, but the Nationals made a comeback with three runs that inning, followed by an additional run in the eighth and two more in the ninth.
Game 7 was played at Houston's Minute Maid Park, and this was the first time in Major League Baseball postseason history that the visiting team won all seven games in a series, CBS Sports reports.
