Biden projected to win Virginia primary
It looks like former Vice President Joe Biden has another primary win under his belt.
Multiple outlets, including CNN, NBC News, and The New York Times, are projecting Biden to win the Virginia Democratic primary almost immediately after polls closed in the commonwealth at 7 p.m. E.T. With nearly 100 percent of votes reported, Biden has 53.3 percent of the vote, followed by Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) with 23 percent.
Polls leading up to Super Tuesday suggested the vice president was the favorite, although nearly half of Virginia primary voters said they made up their mind in the last couple of days before the primary. That indicates Biden's South Carolina victory and his subsequent string of endorsements may have swayed some on-the-fence voters.

Virginia is key both in the primary where it has 99 delegates in play, and in the general election where it's viewed as a swing state.
Sanders, meanwhile, is projected to win his home state of Vermont, where polls also closed at 7.
