Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) has picked up his third win of Super Tuesday.

Sanders on Tuesday was projected to win the Democratic primary in Utah by The Associated Press and NBC News. This is the senator's third projected victory of the night after Colorado and his home state of Vermont. He was favored to take Utah after easily winning the state during the 2016 Democratic primaries.

This came after Sanders suffered a key loss when former Vice President Joe Biden took Minnesota, despite Sanders easily winning the state in 2016. FiveThirtyEight's Nate Silver called this "by far the biggest upset so far," adding there's "no good news here at all for Bernie." Sanders also lost to Biden in Massachusetts, as projected by The Associated Press and NBC News.
